Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m a second-year medical student at UCL with over five years of tutoring experience, and I genuinely love helping students build both confidence and academic success. I work with learners from primary school through to GCSE, A-level, 11+ and 16+ entrance examinations, as well as students applying to medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine. Whether a student needs support mastering core concepts, preparing for an important exam, or navigating a competitive application process, I tailor every lesson to their individual goals and learning style. Alongside private tutoring, I’ve led English and Maths educational programmes in under-resourced primary schools and have extensive experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I understand that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching to ensure lessons are engaging, accessible and enjoyable. For aspiring medical students, I also provide guidance on every stage of the application process, including university selection, UCAT preparation, personal statements and interview coaching. Having been through the process myself relatively recently, and through my continued involvement in admissions and mentoring at university, I offer practical, up-to-date advice that reflects what applicants need today. Above all, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived. Building understanding is important, but building confidence is what allows students to reach their full potential.
