I'm an experienced GCSE Mathematics teacher, Edexcel examiner and Second in Faculty of Maths with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I specialise in helping students build confidence, master difficult concepts and achieve the grades they need—whether they're aiming to secure a pass at Foundation or striving for Grades 7–9 at Higher. Over the past several years I've taught students with a wide range of abilities, including those with SEND, low confidence, maths anxiety and high-attaining students preparing for top grades. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a specialist numeracy teaching assistant, giving me a strong understanding of how to break maths down into manageable steps and adapt my teaching to suit every learner. I teach students from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE (Foundation and Higher), as well as adult learners returning to maths. As an Edexcel examiner, I understand exactly how marks are awarded and the mistakes students commonly make, allowing me to teach not just the maths itself but also the exam techniques that maximise marks. My lessons are calm, supportive and challenging in equal measure. I believe every student can improve with the right explanations, plenty of practice and encouragement. My goal isn't simply to help students pass an exam—it's to help them genuinely understand mathematics and become confident, independent learners.
